Are there tears in heaven?
There is no more pain, no more disease, and all the citizens of heaven are filled with the love of God, so there are no strained relationships. Where then is the occasion for tears? Are there tears in heaven?
The only cause why there could be tears is regret at our past sins on earth, missed opportunities to demonstrate our love of Jesus by putting to death the desires of the flesh, missed opportunities to reach out to lost souls, to help the needy, etc.

God says He will wipe all tears from our eyes. There will be no possiblity of sin, hence no more death.
The former things have passed away.
What remains is a new heaven and a new earth, with new opportunities to joyously love and serve our Savior, and each other.
