Although Love is the greatest of the abiding three, yet, during our earthly life, Faith and Hope abide as the foundations on which Love is built. Faith and Hope will no longer be needed when Faith is replaced by sight and Hope becomes our possession. This will happen at and after the Judgment Seat of Christ.

This is important, because some will look to the Love Page for solutions to interpersonal conflicts that stand in the way of love. The Lord’s solutions to interpersonal conflicts are impossible to apply, except by Faith, and with our minds made steady by Hope.

A key point to note is that Love is a fruit of the Spirit. It grows in our character as we abide in the Vine. The Vine does not struggle to create and adorn itself with fruit as some adorn a Christmas Tree. Love is an outgrowth of the Life that is in the Vine. That Life is ours by Faith, and is sustained by Hope.

Meanwhile, when we have prayed by faith, for the solution to the conflict, we need to exercise patience. Faith, Patience and Love are all Fruit of the Spirit.

Romans 8:25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
