4. Healing according to the person’s own faith
Healing of the blind man:

5. Healing by the sovereign act of God
Healing of the mute person:
Matthew 9:32-33: “As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. [33] And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marvelled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”

9. Jesus looks to the Father for healing
Mark 7:32,34-35: “Then they brought to Him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they begged Him to put His hand on him. [34] Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” [35] Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly.”
10. All healed by the power of God

[23] “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. [24] “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
But note:
13. Prayer must be according to will of God
1 John 5:14-15: “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. [15] And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

Mark 16:17-18: “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; [18] “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

17. THE KINGDOM OF GOD COMES WITH POWER
Day of Pentecost
Acts 2:1-4: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. [2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. [3] Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
18. HEALINGS BY THE APOSTLES
Result – fearlessness
First healing after Pentecost
Acts 3:6-7: “Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” [7] And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”
Healing of the lame man
Acts 3:7-8: “And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. [8] So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them – walking, leaping, and praising God.”
Faith in the name of Jesus
Acts 3:16: “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
Further healings through the Apostles
Acts 5:12: “And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch.
Acts 15-16 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. [16] Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.”
Philip heals
Acts 8:5,7: “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. [7] For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralysed and lame were healed.”
Peter heals

Further signs and wonders
Act 14:3: “Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.”
20. SIGNS AND WONDERS
Crippled man healed through Paul
Acts 14:8-10: “And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. [9] This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, [10] said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.”
Paul raises dead man
Acts 20:9-10: “And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead. [10] But Paul went down, fell on him, and embracing him said, “Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.”
Paul heals heathen persons
Acts 28:8: “And it happened that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went in to him and prayed, and he laid his hands on him and healed him. [9] So when this was done, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed.”
21. HEALING IN THE CHURCH
Prayer of faith
James 5:13-16: “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. [14] Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. [15] And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. [16] Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
THE ANOINTING
1. The anointing of the Lord
Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; [19] To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
Acts 10:36-39: “The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ–He is Lord of all– [37] “that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: [38] “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. [39] “And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree.”
2. Our anointing
1 John 2:20: “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”
1 John 2:27: “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”
