Psalms 67:1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
So many of us, so often in this gimme generation, want God to be merciful to us, bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us.
And we stop there.
Not the psalmist.
The purpose he envisages for the blessing on ourselves is that His way may be known upon earth … among all nations.
Think about that for a moment.
God is encouraging us to seek His blessings for ourselves, with all the nations of the world in view.
God wants us to have a global perspective.
Each one of us is called to impact the nations.
Selah! Pause and deeply think of that!
