Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
People will do almost anything to avoid obedience. In fact, it is almost unbelievable how far we will go to avoid obeying God.
When faced with our own sin, do we resolve to obey God? Or do we pray half the night. The latter is far easier!
Correcting this tendency is hard because it demands death to the adamic life. It requires self-denial. It requires us to carry our cross and follow Jesus.
May the Spirit of God enable us to live out this obedience.
