John 17 verse 24

John 17:24  Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am …

What Jesus wants most is that we simply be with Him. Not only in the world to come, in the heaven that now is, and that which is to come, but even now on earth.Preaching, evangelizing, doing works of mercy, or doinf anything else is of secondary importance. We should be with Jesus so that He feels the heart beat of our love for Him. The Lord Himself should be more important to us than His call, or His work. Of course, if we do love Him, we will keep His commandments; after that, He might send us forth to preach. But before Jesus said, “Go into all the world” He said,

John 15:4  Abide in me, and I in you.

He wants us to be with Him in such intimacy that it could truly be said that we are abiding IN Him.

No amount of ministering FOR the Lord will make up for a lack of ministering TO the Lord. And I must remind visitors to BIbloscope that knowing the Word of God does not necessarily mean that we know the God of the Word.
