John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
This is one of the places where Jesus speaks of the Rapture. It is meant to be a comforting thought. He said, “Let not your heart be troubled ….”
The time of Jesus’ absence, the time between His ascension and His coming again for His people, is a time when He is preparing a place for us. It will be a glorious place, indescribable in magnificence and in size. (See Revelation 21-22, and also consider the astronomical size of the physical universe. Will Heaven be any smaller? When thinking of Heaven, we must learn to think in terms of immeasurable spaciousness and grandeur.)
