Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
In the history of doctrine, many attempts have been made to merge all final judgments into one great judgment. This does violence to Scripture.
The Scripture makes clear that all will be judged, but not all at the same place, or the same time, or on the same basis. For instance, verse 28 makes clear that Jesus was offered once for all to bear the sins of many, and unto those who look for Him (that is, believers), He will appear without sin unto salvation. The Judgment Seat of Christ will be the final judgment of all believers. And it will be, not for sin, but unto salvation.
