Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus is the beginning (author, giver) and end (goal, finishing line) of our faith.
This Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Once He has initiated a good work in us (Author), He will bring it to completion (Finisher).

To understand God, to learn to trust Him, we need to look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher, because when we see Jesus, we acquaint ourselves with God.
