Revelation 3:22  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Seven times in the space of two chapters, the Lord gives this direction and command.

When Jesus had certain critical messages to deliver to seven churches at a place then known as Asia Minor (present-day Turkey),. He concluded each message with the words, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” It must be a very important imperative for every member of the Body of Christ.

Since most people obviously have physical ears, He could only have been referring to another type of ear – the spiritual one.

Yes, our spiritual ears need to be fully open and wide awake.

This is so important a command, that I seriously recommend you  close your eyes and pray the following prayer for at least two minutes:

Lord, open my spiritual ears in the name of Jesus.

If you’re not too sure of what spiritual ears are, then pray the following prayer:

Lord, give me spiritual ears in the name of Jesus.

Five times in the gospels, it is recorded that Jesus caused the deaf to hear. If our spiritual ears are absent or non-functional, this prayer, if made from the heart, will draw the immediate response of the Lord, precisely because He is so keen that we hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

Did you pray any of those prayers? Then I thank God for you.
