In Exodus 3:14, God issued His Great Emancipatin Proclamation for His people in Egypt.
In it He identified Himself as I AM.
He knew that this would make sense to His People, because He had already been referring to Himself for centuries as I AM.
I AM the Provider – Genesis 22:14.
I AM your Victory Banner – Exodus 17:15
I AM your Peace – Judges 6:20
God wants us to believe Him, but not as the devils do, who believe and tremble (James 2:19)
God wants us to believe that HE IS. Hebrews 11:6. He is our I AM.
He wants to be our personal I AM.
Hannah
Take the case of Hannah, in 1 Samuel.
Read 1 Samuel 1 verses 11 and 19.
But God is more dependable than we are!
The worldly man says, “”Have faith! You’ll pull through!”
But have faith in what? In yourself, in a doctor, in a great leader, in some great problem-solver?
God says, “Have faith in God. Mark 11:22.
Read Isaiah 31:1. God says, don’t go to others for help. First, come to Him.
When you have a need, do NOT depend on your boss, or on your job, and the increment that’s been promised you.
Depend on God alone. Treat Him as the only dependable one in your life, because He is.
God is full of resources
Gabriel’s Inventory reads “Unlimited Supply of Everything!”
God doesn’t know what shortage is!
Psa 50:10, 12.
God’s chequebook gives us access to His glorious riches. Philippians 4:19.
So quit thinking that God’s has the same resources and capabilities to draw from that you have.
God not only is not only resource-full, but He wants to be your total resource!
We know God can, but not sure that He wants to, hence not sure that He will.
We need to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. (Romans 12:2)
