Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Over 4,000 years ago, God called Abram from Ur of the Chaldees (now in southern Iraq). For forsaking both homeland and family roots, God promised to make a great nation in which He would demonstrate divine blessing. The blessing trailed through Isaac and Jacob (Israel).
The Lord spoke to Abraham in an audible voice just as He did to Moses at the Burning Bush, to Adam after his sin, to the child Samuel (1 Samuel 3:4-10)
God is going to use Abraham to found a new nation, and introduce what to the nations around was a new concept of God and a new way to worship Him..
But what is the first thing God tells Abraham (then going under his old name Abram)? He said, “Get out of your country, leave your relatives behind nd even your father’s house … and head for a new land that I will show you. That’s where I will bless you, and make you a blessing, so far-reaching that all families of the earth will be blessed in you, and whoever blesses you, I will bless, and whoever curses you I will curse!”
Well, what has leaving his country got to do with the rest of the passage?
When Almighty God is about to reveal and puf into action His plan of salvation for mankind and for creation itself, He starts by calling a man and bringing him to an – apparently special – Land! Why? The reazon becomes more and more clear in the course of Bible history. That land has great significance in the history of salvation and redemption – in the past, the present and the future. And in that special land there is a special city whi was called Salem, then Jebus and then Jerusalem. Also in that land and that city God was to raise and train a special people: the people of Israel. And one day, through that people, there would come a blessing, which would finally spread around the whole world. First a land, then a people, and finally a blessing, God says to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3.
For centuries neither the land nor the people nor the city of Jerusalem played any role in the thinking and theologies of the Christian church The church dominated by gentiles considered itself to be the newly chosen people, the new Israel. The Promised Land became heaven. Jerusalem became the heavenly Jerusalem. The earthly Jerusalem did not become the centre of world Christendom. That role was given to Rome (for the Western churches), or Constantinople(for the Eastern churches) or Canterbury (for the English churches), or Moscow (for the Russian Orthodox), or Geneva( for the Reformation) – not Jerusalem… But Almighty God has the final word: a land, a people, a nation and a blessing. And that is how it will be. The land, the people and the city are being restored today. For the Kingdom is coming, despite everything else. Who knows how soon … ‘His shalom will be worldwide. He will make all things new and He is the Lord of our life’, This is how it will end. This is the final goal.
We are not there yet, however, and dark clouds are gathering once again above mankind and the world. The realm of anti-Christian forces and of THE antichrist is on the march.
Today, everyone who harms Israel, including the US, will be cursed for it. If you want God’s blessing, bless Israel.

The scene is being set for the final events before the Blessing Himself arrives to bless the nations and the earth and all of creation.
