The Numbers passages have to do with offerings at the dedication of the altar, and offerings during the feast of Tabernacles.

The Tribulation Age. This is a short age. Jesus said that “except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:22) This short age is ruled over by the beast that comes out of the sea, and the spirits of the powers of the air.
The Judges passage in which this phrase occurs, relates one of the darkest episodes in the Israelite nation.
The Ezekiel passages are also speaking of the judgments of God over a rebellious people, even the house of Israel.
Taking them all together, the fifth day speaks of man starting well, but ultimately breaking the covenant with God, and inviting God’s fierce judgments on himself.
