Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
The Scripture commands us to make the things above our greatest desire, far above earthly things. We are to love God, Jesus, and our heavenly home, far above anyone on earth. What’s more, we are to set our affection even on the things above (even though we haven’t yet seen them with our eyes, but only with the eyes of faith), far above earthly possessions and pleasure.
