Note the last phrase (which I have underlined) in which he refers to God as “the Eternity of Israel”: “I will continue to tell the truth to the world – but first and foremost, to my nation. The truth is that a nuclear armed Iran is an existential threat to the State of Israel and also a grave threat to the rest of the world,” he said. “The memory of the Holocaust is not just a ceremonial matter. April 17. 2012: Nine days ago, Joel Rosenberg asked why the Hebrew prophet Isaiah spoke mysteriously of a coming suffering servant? So Christian does the concept seem that many Jewish rabbis discourage Jews from reading Isaiah 53, passing from chapter 52 to chapter 54. Others try to interpret the suffering servant as Israel whose history has been dotted with periods of intense suffering. But were others healed by Israel’s sufferings, as was prophesied of the Suffering Servant, “by His stripes we are healed”? Today Rosenberg discusses an intriguing Dead Sea scroll that says that Messiah was to come, die, and rise again the third day! The post contains many links that are well worth reading. He also includes a personal touch, how he and his four sons were reading 1 Corinthians 15, in the light of Passover and Easter, and how Rosenberg read out extracts from famed Jewish scholar Dr. Israel Knohl’s book on the archeological find and the implication of what has come to be known as Gabriel’s Revelation. Almost in passing Rosenberg mentions that he had never actually read Dr. Knol’s book, just extracts reported in the press, and then the most personal touch of all. Finally, Intelligence and Terror Information Center (ITIC) noted, another manifestation of Iranian participation in the propaganda campaign for the march was an open letter posted on the marches’ website on March 5, purportedly written by Iranian Jews. The ITIC believes the letter was planted by the Iranian regime.

March 8, 2012: Some political commentators are so wise in their own eyes, that they come up with “wise” sayings and conclusions. Haman is dead. Hitler is dead! the Jews should no longer live in the mentality of being threatened with extinction. This “wise” view, is that of Mark Tracu. who quotes Leon Wieseltier’s “seminal essay” of 10 years ago when Ahmadinejad was not yet President of Iran. The present reality is different from that which Leon Wieseltier then knew. If one day Ahmadinejad makes good on his repeated threat to annihilate Israel, what solution would Mark Tracy or Wieseltier have to offer? They would be bankrupt of solutions. That is why Netanyahu is wise and courageous in insisting that Israel must retain the right and ability to be master of its own destiny. We recognize the perils involved if it comes to a need to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities. But God has intervened in history again and again since 1948, when He began the process of restoration of Israel.

March 4, 2012: While we await the result of the election in Russia, another fateful meeting has been set at the White House between Benjamin Netanyahoo, Prime Minister of Israel, and President Obama of the United State. It is reported that Obama does not have the gutsiiness of John Kennedy or Franklin Roosevelt. That is he lacks the courage to face up to the real enemy. But he doesn’t lack the gall to call upon the target of the enemy’s plans to refrain from protecting his nation Israel. Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and National Security Council deputy director Ali Baqeri, have been attempting to deter an Israeli attack by making increasing threats of retaliation.
Khamenei promised that “iron fists” would be raised against Israel, and Baqeri went even further. On a visit to Russia (which has supplied much of the technology Iran is using to build its nuclear weapons), Baqeri said, “If the Zionist regime [attacks] a question of its existence will arise—not a question of its legitimacy, but a question of its existence.”
Iran’s leaders have spoken bluntly and publicly of their desire to see Israel “wiped off the map.” Today they are closer than ever to having the means to accomplish their evil purposes. The world, including Israel’s “ally” the US of A, has stood by and watched—except for the nations that are helping Iran—while uttering platitudes and doing nothing to defend Israel from death and devastation. But we are not standing silent!
February 20, 2012: After numerous attacks and bombing attempts around the world last week, Jewish sites in the U.S.—synagogues, schools and embassy buildings—have been placed on a greatly heightened alert status.
It is a tragedy that simply going to school or to synagogue places a Jewish man, woman, or child at risk of being attacked or killed. Being Jewish is NOT a capital crime…and yet to those driven by hatred and anti-Semitism and radical Islamist ideology, it is. News reports indicate visibly heightened security measures being taken when Israeli officials travel to public events. Frank Cilluffo, director of the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University in D.C., said, “The recent [planned] attack on a Saudi official in Washington shows a willingness to attack in the United States. February 19. 2012: Time is running out for Damascus according to Biblical prophecy The butchery of the Assad regime is horrifying to behold. More than 6,000 Syrians have been brutally murdered by the thugs in Damascus. The evil Assad government must be brought down and brought to justice, or face judgment.
Bible prophecy tells us in Isaiah 17:1-3 and Jeremiah 49:23-27 that Damascus will be destroyed as a city in the last days. Scripture doesn’t tell us exactly when or how this will happen, but I believe that day is steadily approaching. Indeed, it may not be far off.
In the meantime, followers of Jesus Christ around the world must be praying and working for the spiritual and political liberation of the Syrian people. We need to be praying and working to strengthen the persecuted Church in Syria, and to help believers there spread of the Gospel to every person in that precious country. Make no mistake: God loves the people of Syria. The Apostle Paul came to faith in Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus. Believers were first called “Christians” in Antioch, Syria. And our God and Father wants every Syrian to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. We need to act now and share the good news with Syria before judgment comes. For God is not going to allow this current evil to go unchecked much longer. In Genesis 12:1-3, the Lord told us that those who bless the children of Israel will be blessed, and those who cursed them will be cursed. The Syrian government faces judgment for killing its own citizens, but also for killing so many Jews and Israelis over the years, and cursing the State of Israel on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, since we don’t know when the judgment of Syria’s government will happen, the U.S. government — and our allies — can and must take decisive steps to stand with and for the people of Syria against the Assad regime. This past week, 58 foreign policy experts urged President Obama to take strong, specific action.
The experts noted: “For eleven months now, the Syrian people have been dying on a daily basis at the hands of their government as they seek to topple the brutal regime of Bashar al-Assad. As the recent events in the city of Homs—in which hundreds of Syrians have been killed in a matter of days—have shown, Assad will stop at nothing to maintain his grip on power.

False Apostles approved by State? What’s Happening? In posting this link, I am not saying that it is wrong for an apostle to go to this world’s authorities or leaders. Peter was sent to the Roman centurion Cornelius, Paul spoke to the Roman governor Festus, to another Roman governor Felix, to the Roman Centurion, to the Jewish king Agrippa, and eventually to Caesar in Rome and those of Caesar’s household. Peter preached repentance of sin and faith in Jesus, and Paul did the same. We do not find either Peter or Paul or anyone else in the New Testament courting worldly authorities for political influence, or to establish God’s “government” in the political echelons. Neither were they honored and counted among the great men of the kingdoms of this world.

It will in the future also be the inauguration of the Millennium, when the Lord will come again to dwell on the earth as King of kings and Lord of lords.
The 1st of Ellul started at sunset on August 30, and ran till sunset August 31. This was the commencement of a 40-day period, leading to Yom Kippur on the 10th of Tishri (which coincides this year with the 24-hour period from evening October 7 to evening October 8).
This is also a perilous time for the people and state of Israel, who are being threatened by the Palestinians in the “West Bank” and Gaza, and also by Iran, Lebanon, and protestors in Egypt. While the concern about an impending war is serious enough, there are those who long to perpetrate another genocide, a holocaust of the Jews, today, and destroy all that reminds the world that the Land was once the Land of Judea and Samaria. We earnestly ask our visitors get the background to this threat and its development in history on this Watchman’s site, then to go on their 40-day Fast page, and commit to fasting at least for a day during this 40-day period. Fast to plead with God for the peace and security of Israel and her people.
