1 Corinthians 3 verses 11 to 15

1 Corinthians 3:11  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13  Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14  If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15  If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

If we do not walk closely with God, we will not be transformed by the renewing of our minds, yet we might be saved though we might have built with “wood, hay and stubble”.

However, we shall miss the brilliance that could have been ours if we had allowed the Holy Spirit to so transform us that when the angels gather in the harvest at the end of the age we shall be one of those righteous who “shall shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father”.

For as Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:41-42,

41  There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42  So also is the resurrection of the dead.
