Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2  And immediately I was in the spirit: ...

Revelation 4 above typifies the Rapture promised in John 14:1-3 and described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

When Jesus called out to John, "Come up here!", John was in the spirit ...

When Jesus calls out to all His people, dead and alive, "Come up here!", all of us will go up. Those who are dead will be resurrected and will go up in their glorified, immortal, resurrection bodies. Those who are alive on earth at the time of the Rapture will not experience death, but will be instantly transformed in their bodies from mortal to immortal, from corruptible to incorruptible. See 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.

Some preachers who claim to be "prophetic" have been teaching that the key words in the passage above are "a door was opened in heaven". They use the New Age term "portal" to refer to this door, as if it's a portal in the sky. Also, they teach that since that day the door has been open for all of us to enter by faith whenever we want to. Apparently, these "prophets" don't want to wait for the Lord to say "Come up here!" They do not hear His voice like a trumpet! They use "visualization" to imagine themselves going into Heaven. Obviously, the "heaven" they go into is a figment of their imaginations.

Why not wait and watch as the Lord commanded us, and "look for that blessed hope" which is the Rapture.

No, let's not go the way of these pseudo-prophets. Let's hold on to the doctrine and hope of the Rapture, which is the only doctrine for which a crown is promised.
